9 undocumented foreign nationals arrested during Limpopo operation to appear in court

JOHANNESBURG - Nine undocumented foreign nationals who were arrested during Operation Vala Umgodi in Limpopo will be appearing in Thohoyandou Magistrate Court on Friday.  

The men were arrested during stop-and-search operations by Limpopo police earlier this week.  

One of the suspects was in possession of an unlicensed firearm.  

“Nine illegal immigrants were arrested, and in the same operation, a vehicle was stopped, and while members were searching the vehicle, a firearm was found and another illegal immigrant was found in the vehicle,” said Limpopo police spokesperson Stephen Thakeng.
