'We must act now to save lives' - WC Mobility MEC Sileku

CAPE TOWN - The Western Cape Mobility Department is appealing to road users to exercise extreme caution on the roads to minimise the loss of lives.
At least 11 people died on the province's roads this week, including 9 pedestrians.

Police also arrested more than 100 suspected drunk drivers over the same period.
"Every life lost is a painful reminder of our need to change road behaviours," said Western Cape Mobility MEC Isaac Sileku.
"These are not just statistics, they represent families shattered by preventable tragedies. We must act now to save lives."
