Brutal murders highlight intimate partner violence in SA
The African National Congress has called out for men to speak about their emotional struggles instead of resorting to violence.

JOHANNESBURG - In the aftermath of 16 days of activism, two horror cases of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) have resulted in the killings of intimate partners in KwaZulu-Natal.
The first case was in Umzinto where a man murdered his girlfriend and confessed on social media, before taking his life by suicide.
A man in Umgababa also killed his partner and child before taking his own life.
The African National Congress (ANC) has called out for men to speak about their emotional struggles instead of resorting to violence.
Speaking at Luthuli House, ANC Secretary General Fikile Mbalula said that government must work with communities to stop GBV.
"The ANC is committed to supporting survivors and ensuring justice for victims and working with communities to eradicate GBV and supporting families. This fight requires collective action from all sectors of society."
