JOHANNESBURG - Festive season travel is at its peak, with Friday projected to see the highest number of people flying out to various destinations.

To avoid delays and long queues at the country's ports of entry, officials have urged international passengers to arrive at airports three hours before their flights.
Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) CEO Mpumi Mpofu said systems had been put in place to prevent unnecessary delays.
"We have to cope with the bigger numbers that are going to come through our airport, and it appears that this year is even more significant.
"The busiest day generally in this period is traditionally the Fridays. So, the first Friday when the schools close, the second Friday, which was the 13th, and we are expecting tomorrow, the 20th, to be the busiest in the whole peak."
