JOHANNESBURG - Joburg Water says lessons will be learned from the lack of water supply to old age homes during a recent 86-hour shutdown.
Although maintenance work was completed, some old age homes were still without water on Wednesday.
EWN visited a number of old age homes in Claremont, Johannesburg, where facilities were either faced with empty tankers or no tankers at all.
Joburg Water's managing director, Ntshaveni Mukwevho, said that they would do better.
"Of course, there are weaknesses that we are picking up in the specific areas. We will have to look at that so that we draw lessons for when we do our work in future."
