CAPE TOWN - Eskom has posted another major pre-tax loss for the 2023/24 financial year of more than R25 billion.
It shared its financial results at its Megawatt Park headquarters on Thursday, more than three months late.
In part, it's blaming ongoing corruption within the organisation for the delay, in particular, suspected collusion involving staff in its pre-paid vending system.
But Eskom executives have been quick to look to the future, saying it expects to finally make an after-tax profit of R10 billion at the end of the current financial year in March 2025.
