Delays expected in restoration of power to affected homes after heavy rains: City Power

JOHANNESBURG - Johannesburg City Power says there will be a delay in restoring power to residents who have been affected by an outage caused by heavy rains.

Several areas in Johannesburg have been left without power as the utility works to restore electricity to affected areas.

Entity's spokesperson Isaac Mangena says the inclement weather is also affecting their progress in reinstating the power supply.

 "The team is arranging material for repairs in order to restore areas that are still outstanding. This inclement weather may affect the restoration efforts, especially where we have to basically locate faults or even do some of the repairs."
