JOHANNESBURG - Ensuring the N4 corridor between SA and Mozambique is safeguarded against any possible unrest remains a key priority.

This was one of the main outcomes of Wednesday's bilateral engagement between South African and Mozambican authorities in Mpumalanga.

South African and Mozambican Ministers of Defence, Transport and International Relations met to discuss national security issues.

This comes as the Mozambican constitutional council looks set to verify and officially proclaim the outcome of the country's October presidential election results on Monday, which could result in further unrest.
