JOHANNESBURG - Rand Water said it had completed maintenance at the Eikenhof station and pumping had resumed.
The water system is now expected to start to recover progressively after taps ran dry since Friday.
Residents in some parts of the city are angry that the promised water tankers did not arrive or were not enough to meet the needs of their communities.
Systems affected by the Eikenhof shutdown include Soweto, Randburg, Roodepoort, and Joburg Central.
