Joburg residents to wait a little longer for water supply restoration
Rand Water shut down the Zwartkoppies and Eikenhof pump stations for a scheduled 86-hour maintenance. Their taps will release the precious resource from 9PM on Monday, the utility says.

JOHANNESBURG - Johannesburg residents who have not had water since Friday will have to wait a bit longer for water to return to their taps.
Rand Water shut down the Zwartkoppies and Eikenhof pump stations for a scheduled 86-hour maintenance.

On Sunday, the utility completed its work on Zwartkoppies, restoring water to areas such as Parktown, Berea, Naturena, and Forest Hill.
Rand Water's spokesperson Nombuso Tshabalala says maintenance at Eikenhof will wrap up on Monday evening.
"Rand Water confirmed that maintenance at its Eikenhof pump station is scheduled for completion this evening at 9PM. Systems affected by Eikenhof are Soweto, Randburg, Roodepoort, Brixton, Crosby and Hursthill, Lenasia, parts of Johannesburg Central including Eagle's Nest."
