EC transport dept appeals to public for help in finding driver involved in hit-and-run incident

CAPE TOWN - The Eastern Cape's transport department is urging motorists not to flee the scene after hitting pedestrians.
Two people, aged 22 and 23, died in a hit-and-run accident on the R102 near East London on Sunday.
Provincial transport spokesperson, Unathi Binqose: "This thing is becoming a bit more pronounced, particularly in the East London and Mdantsane area, as this is the second such incident in just a period of 10 days."
Binqose has called on the public to assist the police in apprehending those responsible for this tragic incident.
