CAPE TOWN - Public transport services across Cape Town have extended their operating hours for the holidays.
All train lines in the metro will run on an extended timetable until early next year.
The MyCiTi bus service has also adjusted its operating times along popular routes, including trips to the Waterfront and Canal Walk.
Longer nights and extra fun await commuters as the metro’s MyCiTi bus and rail networks introduce a late-night service.
MyCiTi buses to Canal Walk and the V&A Waterfront will run until at least 10pm every night until 23 December.

The metro bus service has also set up a special holiday route on the West Coast.
Holidaymakers can now commute from Atlantis to Silwerstroomstrand until 5 January.
For train commuters, additional rides have been arranged for public holidays and Sundays.
Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA)'s Zino Mihi said more trains would also journey to popular beach spots.
"This special arrangement has been put in place to accommodate commuters' requests," said Mihi.
Commuters are urged to look out for its holiday travel timetable.
Normal rail services will resume on 6 January 2025.
