JOHANNESBURG - There is uncertainty regarding former Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi’s future in the party after failing to secure a seat in its central command team (CCT).
The CCT is an 80-member structure serving as the EFF’s highest decision-making body between conferences.

On Saturday night, EFF members voted for a new leadership team as well as new members to occupy the party’s CCT.
This happened during its elective conference taking place at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg.
Ndlozi was absent from the party’s National People’s Assembly amid claims that he had been barred from attending the conference.
Ndlozi had served in the party’s CCT for the past five years but will no longer be part of the structure after failing to be re-elected.
Before Saturday night’s internal election, party leader Julius Malema was asked about Ndlozi’s future in the EFF but responded angrily, dismissing the question.
“We are no longer going to answer any nonsense about Mbuyiseni Ndlozi. This matter is closed. You can talk about it yourself but don’t bring it to us.”
Ndlozi, however, remains an EFF Member of Parliament.
