The party’s national spokesperson Nhlamulo Ndhlela told Eyewitness News that those in power have been using government infrastructure to settle political scores.
Former president Jacob Zuma’s political party made a dramatic debut at the polls this year, becoming South Africa’s third-largest political party
It also garnered the most votes in KZN, though it remains outside of government.
Ndlela has accused PRASA of cancelling trains it had allocated to the MKP.
“Leading up to today, cancelled our trains – they had allocated trains to pick up people from Umlazi, KwaMashu and the townships and on the eve of us making a payment, they cancelled, again a political decision that was taken,” said Ndlela.
PRASA has told Eyewitness News it doesn’t operate trains on a Sunday.
