JOHANNESBURG - Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema has finally addressed questions regarding Mbuyiseni Ndlozi's absence from the party's elective conference, saying the organisation will not tolerate individuals who believe they are bigger than the party.

In his response, Malema emphasised the EFF would not entertain those consumed by inflated egos.

He made these remarks during a media briefing on Saturday morning, held on the sidelines of the EFF's National People's Assembly at Nasrec in Johannesburg.

A visibly enraged Malema said he would no longer address any questions regarding the party's head of political education, Ndlozi, suggesting his ego has become a problem.

In November, reports suggested Ndlozi had been prohibited from attending the party's elective conference due to his failure to defend the organisation during times of attack.

Although Malema has not confirmed whether Ndlozi is indeed barred, he said Ndlozi believes he is bigger than the party, warning the organisation will not tolerate this.

“We are dealing with political issues here, not egoism, not people who think they are bigger than the organisation. It will show them once again that it’s bigger than all of them. As a matter of principle and policy position, we are no longer going to answer any nonsense about Mbuyiseni Ndlozi.”

Malema said he would not reduce the party’s elective conference to one person.

Since Floyd Shivambu’s departure from the EFF, Ndlozi has been in the firing line.

Malema believes Ndlozi knew about Shivambu’s plans to leave the EFF but chose not to alert the party’s leadership.
