JOHANNESBURG - With the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) National People's Assembly kicking off on Friday morning, party president Julius Malema is set to reflect on the organisation’s performance over the past five years.
The party is holding its elective conference at the Nasrec expo centre in Johannesburg this weekend.
Malema is scheduled to present the party's political report, where he took stock of achievements and losses since the last conference in 2019.
This year has been marked as one of the most challenging for the EFF, as the organisation has faced several difficulties.
The party's electoral decline in the May elections, along with the departure of some senior leaders, are key factors contributing to these challenges.
Party Secretary General Marshall Dlamini said all of this would be addressed in Malema’s political report.
"It's going to be the honest reflection of how we performed in the last five years. Our challenges, our victories, difficulties, and mistakes. It's going to be the honest reflection because that's who we are as the EFF."
Party delegates will debate the political report behind close doors on Friday afternoon.
