Gauteng EMS committed to working with Health Department during festive season

JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng Emergency Management Services (EMS) have shown a strong commitment to collaborate with the Health Department’s state of readiness plans for safety this holiday season
According to the MEC for Health and Wellness, Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko, a fleet of 400 operational vehicles have been deployed to serve communities over this period.
The provinces's EMS say they have also trained more than 4,000 staff members to assist in emergency cases during this active period.
In addition, Nkomo-Ralehoko has added the department has equipped communities with first-aid training programmes.
"Furthermore, we have trained over 3,700 community members across the province as first responders surpassing our annual target of 2500."
