Dangor briefed the media on the outcomes of the closed-door meetings on Tuesday evening.
Although this week’s meetings mostly lay the groundwork for the 2025 priorities Dangor says the G20 nations agree that economic growth, food security, energy security and climate change need to be top of the agenda.
“We presented in detail our approach to inclusive economic growth, industrialisation, employment and reducing inequality. We also presented our task force on food security and again, strong support from the sherpas with very good recommendations emerging in the last couple of hours on how we can ensure that we focus on food security on the regional and global level and therefore we ensure that we compliment what brazil has started.”
