JOHANNESBURG - Protea Glen residents said that water tankers sent to the area were not enough to cover the entire community.
They protested on Wednesday, complaining about week-long water shortages.
Rand Water said it was investigating the cause of the shortages.

Johannesburg Water said that the prolonged water outages in the area were a result of three faulty valves that have since been repaired.
Community leader, Tholakele Gule, said they were unhappy with communication from the utility.
"Right now, we just spoke to Africa, who says he is from Joburg Water, but Africa is not coming with anything solid. He just gave us lip service because all we need is to know when the water is coming back. We are also worried because they bring two tankers for the whole community of Protea Glen. We need tankers - at least if they can supply many tankers."
Johannesburg Water said it was still investigating the cause of the latest outage in the area.
