JOHANNESBURG - The Pretoria High Court is set to hear an application by Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula on Thursday to have the State disclose further information regarding her corruption case.
The former parliamentary Speaker is charged with 12 counts of corruption and one of money laundering.
The charges relate to her time as defence minister, when she allegedly solicited and received kickbacks amounting to R4.5 million from a defence contractor.
Mapisa-Nqakula wants the State to disclose sections B and C of the police docket against her.
These sections deal with correspondence and the investigation diary.
Mapisa-Nqakula has raised issues with the State's evidence-gathering process and believes the information contained in these documents will assist her defence.
However, the State is opposing the application.
The State says sections B and C of the police docket are confidential and will not be used during the trial.
