CAPE TOWN - Police are yet to make a breakthrough in their investigation into the murder of a 13-year-old boy in Delft.
The child's body was found on a field before 6am on Tuesday morning.
The police's Frederick van Wyk said the teen suffered multiple injuries to his body and face.
"Police members on duty received a complaint of a person who is laying in the field. On their arrival, they found the body of a teenager lying on his back with multiple injuries. He was dressed in blue jeans, maroon T-shirt, and red All Star tekkies. Circumstances surrounding this fatal incident are under investigation."
The incident comes as the country marks 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children.
In October, a 12-year-old boy's charred remains were also found on a field in Delft.
