JOHANNESBURG - The father of a 14-year-old boy who was shot and killed in Riverlea says he cannot rest until those responsible are found.
Aiden Witbooi was shot eight times last week, by suspected gangsters near his home.
He died on the scene.
Jordaan said he had been threatened by gangsters shortly before his son was shot because they were convinced he was part of a rival gang.
But he disputed this and added he makes a legitimate income.
"I am broke, I don't have strength, I can't sleep at night, I can't eat. I don't know how I am going to handle it. My mother, his granny, is even worse. I don't know why they are targeting me because I don't have a gun. I am not a gangster."
The father of the deceased, Angelo Jordaan, says he has confirmation from the South African Police Services that investigations are underway.@Jay_Mbatha pic.twitter.com/J6y5iuHcmV
