DURBAN -The eThekwini metro police have cleared all major routes in Durban following a blockade by striking taxi operators.
The long-distance association in Durban is demanding their impounded vehicles be released.
They were impounded by police due to permit issues.
"I can confirm that all roads that were closed in Durban due to public transport long-distance taxi associations strike are now open, and they are safe to be used again," said eThekwini metro police spokesperson, Boysie Zungu.
