Two bank employees expected to appear in court over bank robbery
Police say the pair, both aged 36, allegedly colluded with other suspects to steal over R3 million at Ivory Park Mall last Wednesday.

JOHANNESBURG -Two female bank employees are among five suspects expected to appear before the Tembisa Magistrate's Court on Monday for their alleged involvement in a bank robbery at Ivory Park Mall.
Police said the pair, both aged 36, allegedly colluded with other suspects to steal over R3 million last Wednesday.
Within 48 hours, a multi-disciplinary team, including the Hawks, Gauteng detectives, and crime intelligence, tracked and arrested the suspects.

Gauteng police spokesperson Mavela Masondo said the alleged kingpin was found in Ga-Rankuwa with stolen bank cards and a hijacked VW Golf.
"On Saturday, 30 November 2024, police arrested the first bank employee while still at work, and the other bank employee was arrested in Midrand on the same day. The search for more suspects is underway. The arrested suspects are expected to appear before Tembisa Magistrate's Court on Monday, 2 December 2024, facing charges that include business robbery, possession of hijacked vehicles, and possession of stolen property," said Masondo.
