JOHANNESBURG- The African National Congress (ANC) leadership in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) is reporting to the party's national leadership on the province's poor electoral performance.
ANC KZN dropped to 17% during this year's general elections from 54% in 2019.
The ANC's National Working Committee (NWC) was set to meet with the provincial leadership at the Birchwood Hotel in Boksburg on Monday.
The ANC's NWC meeting with the KZN leadership comes amid
increasing calls from within the party to dissolve the provincial leadership.

The party has now become the 4th largest political force in KZN, experiencing severe setbacks due to the rise of the MK Party.
Eyewitness News understands the ANC's national leadership lacks confidence in the current KZN leadership's ability to recover lost ground.
There are also concerns that some senior party leaders deployed to the province may be secretly playing for both the ANC and the MK Party.
While dissolving the KZN leadership is not on the agenda for now, some in the ANC indicate that the party is likely to strengthen its deployed personnel in the province.
