2 learners from Wilhelmina Hoskins Primary School died in separate incidents
In a separate incident, a grade 7 learner died on Saturday after he was allegedly shot by unknown suspects at his family home.

JOHANNESBURG - Two learners from Wilhelmina Hoskins Primary School in Riverlea have died in two separate incidents.
The Gauteng Education Department says a grade 4 learner fell ill on Monday after reportedly eating biscuits bought from a local spaza shop and died while receiving medical treatment at home.

In a separate incident, a grade 7 learner died on Saturday after he was allegedly shot by unknown suspects at his family home.
"The police are investigating circumstances surrounding these two incidents. We have dispatched our psycho-support to the school effectively tomorrow [Tueday] to provide the necessary support. MEC has indicated that he is saddened by these two incidents and wishes to convey his condolences to the families and school communities" said the department's spokesperson - Steve Mabona.
This comes as Gauteng police probe the circumstances that led to the death of a nine-year-old boy in Diepkloof, Soweto, who went to bed after eating supper on Sunday night but was unresponsive when he was woken up this morning.
