She took the broken microwave in five times for repairs before she was able to return it and get her money back.

Fanny of East Village in Johannesburg has been battling for months over problems with a faulty microwave
She purchased it in 2019 and paid extra for a three-year extended warranty expiring on 29 November 2024.

After two years she says it began to make noises that were extremely loud and strange.
After taking it in five times for repairs she decided she would rather have her money back than go through yet another repair.

However, they notified her that a refund would only be possible if the microwave could not be repaired.
After Knowler intervened, Fanny finally got the refund for a microwave that was patently prone to breakdowns.
