CAPE TOWN - Two siblings accused of fraudulently taking out funeral insurance policies on murdered 'Noem My Skollie' actor, David Manuel, will know next week if they'll be released on bail.

Wanda and Sindiswa Mbele are charged with fraud and money laundering in connection with two funeral policies in the name of the deceased.

Initially, it was understood they would be charged with murder.

The State accuses the siblings of changing the policies four days before Manuel's murder, to double the payouts in case of an accidental death.

Wanda and Sindiswa Mbele's mother, Nomhle Mbele, had an outburst in court on Wednesday when the case against her children was postponed to next week Tuesday.

She insists that her children did not misrepresent themselves when they took the policies on Manuel's name.

The mother claims to have been given guardianship of David and his younger brother, Patrick, when their mother passed away.

She said that she took the younger brother in and raised him as his own, while his older brother, David, was in and out of jail.
