Private aviation mogul granted R20k bail

JOHANNESBURG - Private aviation mogul, Jonathan Wolpe, has been granted R20,000 bail in the Johannesburg Specialised Commercial Crimes Court.
Wolpe appeared on Wednesday morning where he faces charges of fraud and theft.
He allegedly defrauded a company subcontracted by the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) government of more than R5 million, during their presidential elections last year.
On Monday, Wolpe handed himself over to the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI) widely known as the Hawks.
The case has been postponed to next year for further investigation.
