JOHANNESBURG - With the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party set to celebrate its first anniversary, the organisation has expressed pride in its achievements in the past 11 months.
Founded on 16 December 2023, the party has quickly emerged as the third-largest political organisation in the country.
It’s set to celebrate its anniversary with a mini rally in Vosloorus on Saturday, followed by a national rally in Durban in December.
Speaking at a media briefing in Ekurhuleni on Wednesday, newly-joined MK Party member, Dali Mpofu, said the organisation had become a powerful force in the political arena.
"The introduction of a new player in South African politics has to affect everybody. There is no single political party in South Africa that is not affected by this new giant. That is why we are celebrating our first anniversary in the spirit that we are."
