CAPE TOWN - Driving under the influence, speeding, seatbelt compliance and overloading are just some of the areas traffic officials will focus on this holiday season.
The Western Cape government officially launched its 2024 Festive Season Road Safety Campaign last week, signalling the start of heightened road safety efforts.
With thousands of residents and visitors expected to travel across the province, the Mobility Department unveiled an extensive plan that includes daily 24/7 traffic operations across the province.
Western Cape Mobility MEC Isaac Sileku: "All we can say and urge the road users coming to the Western Cape is please rest when you feel tired, please don't speed and make sure you are very vigilant on the road."
