'I keep on saying ADHD is my superpower' she tells Carl Wastie on the Kfm Top 40.
Elliot's set to release a new single on 5 December, which will feature on an EP that's also loading.
Titled All I Want, it's described as a powerful anthem addressing the complexities of body image and self-worth.
The muso says her style is evolving as her confidence grows, especially working with producer Jono Greyling.
"Jono really helped me find exactly the type of artist that I want to be, and the type of music that I want to make."
"My voice is not necessarily a rock voice, but then I think what we created was this really interesting juxtaposition of that hectic electric guitar and then this delicate voice coming in, so it's created a unique sound."
Erin Elliot, Singer-songwriter
All I Want was born from Elliot's desire to do a song about body positivity.
She initially struggled with it says the 31-year-old, because she didn't want it to be a sad song.
"It just came together so beautifully and it ended up being very upbeat. It's almost like a satire because I think a lot of women are like this - we can be confident, but then we still worry about body image."

The new song's a departure from previous tracks focusing on romantic love. Take a listen to In The Blink, which was released at the beginning of the year.
