What difficulties did you encounter while working on this year's Momo's Magical Adventure? And how did you and the crew push past to create a new Momo production?

Every production comes with its own set of challenges, and this year is no exception. The biggest hurdle is crafting a fresh, exciting production that could match—and even surpass—the magic of the first award-winning season. Reinventing Momo’s world while staying true to what audiences love about her requires a lot of creativity and collaboration. Another challenge is balancing the ambitious new costumes and immersive technical elements of dynamic lighting and projections to complement our underwater and outer space scenes, within a very tight schedule. But our incredible team’s passion and problem-solving spirit keeps us going. Whether it’s been late-night brainstorming or extra hours in rehearsals, everyone has pulled together to ensure that Momo’s second adventure will dazzle like never before.

What sets this production apart from previous years? What can fans look forward to this year?

This year’s Momo’s Magical Adventure takes everything fans loved about the first season and cranks up the magic! For starters, the new storyline explores two spectacular settings—the deep blue sea and outer space—each brought to life with bold new costumes, dynamic lighting and projections. Audiences can also look forward to new characters, music, funky choreography, and an even more immersive experience. The themes of courage and discovery are still at the heart of the show, but this season adds an exciting layer of exploration that will leave audiences awestruck.

How did you find yourself on the set of Momo's Magical Adventure? Let us in on how this adventure has been.

When we launched the first season in 2023, I couldn’t have imagined how deeply kids and families would connect with Momo and her story. Now, with season two, the adventure has only gotten bigger, bolder and more rewarding. Every day on set is a mix of organised chaos, creative breakthroughs, and a lot of laughter. Watching the cast and crew bring Momo’s world to life is pure magic, and knowing that families will share in that joy fills my heart with immense warmth. Producing this original proudly South African family production has been an incredibly rewarding journey.

There will be four shows per day from Tuesday to Sunday, at 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm. There will be no performances on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
