CAPE TOWN -The State says it has overwhelming and undisputable evidence against two siblings linked to the murder of 'Noem My Skollie' actor, David Manuel.

Initially, it was understood Wanda and Sindiswa Mbele would be charged with murder.

However, they are only facing fraud charges in connection with two funeral policies in the name of the deceased.

The State maintains that the pair took out the policies to the tune of R110,000 fraudulently, by claiming to be the deceased's cousins.

However, the accused denied lying about the status of their relationship with the accused.

A friend of the Mbele family, Mncedisi Mdingi said after Manuel's mother's passing, the Mbele's took them under their wing.

"The family of the deceased I know it for a fact that they grew up there. Even David's biological brother is here with us supporting the Mbele family. He was taken to initiation school by the Mbele family. They are being supported by the Mbele family, everything is done by the Mbele family," said Mdingi.
