DURBAN - The MK Party says it's working to oust KwaZulu-Natal's Government of Provincial Unity, which was formed after no party won an outright majority at the May general polls.
The MK Party is confident that after winning 45 percent of votes in the province, it's positioned to lead the provincial government.
The party spoke to journalists in Durban on Wednesday afternoon.

Party head of presidency, Magasela Mzobe: "This rally, among other things, will be used to agitate and mobilise the people of KwaZulu-Natal to start a very extensive programme of unity progressive forces to reject the IFP/DA-led government."
Mzobe added that the MK Party was gunning for the provincial executive council next year.
"The new budget comes on the first of April, and MK Party, by that time, should be presiding over the government of KwaZulu-Natal."
The party said its anniversary celebration in December would also demonstrate its readiness to win local municipalities in the 2026 local elections.
