Journalists were barred from filming or capturing the proceedings due to an outstanding identity parade.
KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi was also in attendance.
He told journalists that as investigations continue more charges could be added in the case.
"They have been linked with quite a number of cases. It’s about 11 cases this far and the team continue to profile further and perhaps there are more charges that may be added,” said Mkhwanazi.
Detectives from the Serious and Violent Crimes Unit have positively linked the group to the list of charges.
National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson Natasha Ramkisson-Kara said the group will apply for bail next week.
"The offences are alleged to have taken place between February 2024, and October 2024, in KwaMashu. The case was remanded to 25 November 2024, for bail investigation and an identity parade," said Kara.
The State has already indicated that it will oppose their bail application.
