The private university campus is envisioned to be 13 000m2 of buildings at completion, and will be launched in phases, starting in mid-2025.
Vorster says it will offer a range of programmes including law, engineering, commerce, fashion and more.
They will also offer access programmes to help students who do not meet all the entry requirements to pursue the course of their choice.
“The STADIO purpose is to widen access. To give more people opportunities to quality higher education.”
- Chris Vorster, CEO of STADIO
They will be prepared for their first intake of students in 2026.
The STADIO brand is well established in the tertiary education space in South Africa with 50,000 registered students across the country.
They have a small campus in Bellville, Cape Town but applications have exceeded their capacity.
“The brand is growing so fast in the Western Cape that we cannot accommodate our applications at that campus anymore.”
