Operation Dudula insists that foreign nationals registering their spaza shops must stop

JOHANNESBURG - Authorities from the Jabulani municipal office in Soweto are in a meeting with Operation Dudula members, who are picketing against foreign nationals registering their spaza shops on the instruction of President Cyril Ramaphosa.
This demonstration comes amid growing calls for government to regulate the spaza shop sector.

Law enforcement agents, including the Johannesburg Metro Police Department and Gauteng Crime Prevention Wardens, are on standby for any disruptions.
"Inside here, is our president of Operation Dudula, Zandile Dabula, and deputy national organiser. They are all inside, a with few community leaders, to meet the officials of UBC and the management of UBC because we need to know about this system of registering these illegal immigrants so it must stop," said Operation Dudula’s Davis Magolego.
