3 Limpopo pupils to remain in hospital after treatment for suspected food contamination

JOHANNESBURG - Three pupils from Dzumeri Primary School remain in hospital in another case of suspected food contamination in Limpopo.
Initially, a total of eleven pupils from the school fell ill and were hospitalised after eating pap and milk provided by the National School Nutrition Programme.
Provincial Health MEC Dieketseng Mashego and Education MEC Mavhungu Lerule-Ramakhanya, visited Nkhensani Hospital in Giyani on Friday where the pupils were being treated.
"Only three of them will remain in the hospital for further observation. Medical professionals have confirmed that their condition is sustainable and they are receiving the necessary attention," said provincial Health Department spokesperson, Ndavhe Ramakuela.
