The Angel Network celebrates nine years of life!
An incredible network of leaders, change-makers, active citizens, mothers, aunts, friends and helpers, the organisation founded by Glynne Wolman exists on a simple promise: to help where help is needed.
And on its ninth birthday, the Angels can say that they have delivered on this promise because they have been doing life-changing work in Mzansi.
Nine years ago, The Angel Network started small with a Facebook group asking people to help provide Easter eggs or school shoes for kids in need - from this, the organisation grew its wings, flying into life-changing success.
"There's something to be said using social media for good... I thought, we should look at starting a charity and just put the needs out there and it was as simple as that... we just started a Facebook page and started adding people..."
- Glynn Wolman, Founder - The Angel Network
"I'm amazed at what we have been able to achieve since then... it happened slowly but we've evolved and it's been unbelievable... we work 365 days a year because when people need you, they need you..."
- Glynn Wolman, Founder - The Angel Network
