Truck driver arrested with drugs worth nearly R2m in Laingsburg

CAPE TOWN - A truck driver is behind bars after he was arrested with drugs worth close to R2 million along the N1 in Laingsburg.
The truck, which was en route to Cape Town, was pulled over at a roadblock on Monday.
Southern Cape police spokesperson, Christopher Spies, said that the 43-year-old suspect would appear in court on Wednesday.
"Upon searching the vehicle, they found six bags stashed with dagga. The police confiscated the find and arrested the man on a charge of dealing in drugs."
