Police nab murder suspect, seize drugs worth R500k in crime prevention ops in Mfuleni

CAPE TOWN - Police crime prevention operations have led to the arrest of a murder suspect and a drug bust worth half a million rand in Mfuleni, Cape Town.

Police said that while patrolling the streets of Fountain Village, they received a tip-off about drugs being kept at a house nearby.

Police spokesperson Anelisiwe Manyana said that a 36-year-old man was found in possession of tik worth R500,000 at the house.

"In an unrelated matter, the same task team tracked down a 27-year-old male in the Wesbank area of Mfuleni, on a charge of murder. Both suspects are due to appear in the Blue Downs Magistrates Court once charged."
