JOHANNESBURG - The City of Tshwane postponed its planned water supply network upgrade in Highveld Extension 65.

The work was originally planned for this weekend, but it will now take place on Tuesday from 8am to 6pm.

While the city said that it will strive to minimise disruptions, residents and businesses in parts of Highveld, Irene, and several key amenities in Centurion, including Southdowns Centre and Makro Centurion, may experience water interruptions during this period.

Recommended measures include reducing outdoor watering, using hosepipes sparingly, and installing low-flow devices where possible.

"The City of Tshwane apologises profusely, for the inconvenience that will be caused due to the mentioned upgrade," said the city's spokesperson, Lindela Mashigo.

Mashigo added that residents are encouraged to report any water leaks, burst pipes, or wasted water to the city to support these conservation efforts.
