Gauteng Health spokesperson Motalatale Modiba said medicine may degrade and become toxic, warning consumers and business owners.
"If you are purchasing medication at your local establishment that does not have the licence to sell that medication, then you are placing your life at risk. We therefore call on all shop operators to immediately cease from selling scheduled medication as it is a criminal offence to do so," said Modiba.
