JOHANNESBURG - Former Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) national chairperson, Dali Mpofu, has denied claims that his relationship with the red berets has soured.
Mpofu quit the EFF on Thursday adding to a list of the party’s senior members to leave for Jacob Zuma's MK Party.
He served as the EFF’s national chairperson for five years, from 2014 to 2019, before taking a back seat.

While he admitted he hadn’t approached EFF leader, Julius Malema, on his move, he said there’s no bad blood between them.
"My relationship with him, apart from what has happened now, is exactly the same. We occasionally have discussions about political developments, and I expect that to continue. If it continues, it will be well and good – if it doesn’t, that will also be good."
Mpofu also said that he hadn’t closed the door to working with the EFF again in the future.
"If one of my big issues is the unity then I cannot close any door with any of the progressing forces and the eff is one of the most significant ones."
