CAPE TOWN - The police's Anti-Gang Unit has recovered multiple firearms at a house in Mitchells Plain.
The officers conducted an intelligence-driven operation on Monday, after receiving a tip-off.
Western Cape police spokesperson, Frederick Van Wyk, said the information led the team to a residence in Lentegeur.

"The team conducted a search of the premises where a 33-year-old female and a 38-year-old male were arrested after five firearms were recovered, hidden in a makeshift cupboard, in the main bedroom of their separate entrance," he said.
Van Wyk said the firearms would be sent for ballistic testing to determine if they had been used in any crimes.
