Trump leads race to the White House after securing two of 7 key battlegrounds

JOHANNESBURG - As voting continues in America's 60th presidential elections, former president Donald Trump has now secured support in two of the 7 key battlegrounds and is leading the race in the remaining states.
His Republican party has already won Georgia and North Carolina and he also looks set to take Pennsylvania, where almost 93 percent of the votes have been tallied.
If Trump becomes the US' 47th president, he will do so with a Senate that's now also under Republican control.

Several pundits have argued the two are central to the GOP and the Democratic party’s pathways to the Oval Office.
And with counting still underway, Eyewitness News understands a lot of the urban votes are yet to be considered.
Meanwhile, Trump is set to address his supporters at a campaign event sometime on Wednesday, while his opponent Kamala Harris' team said she will only address voters on Thursday.
