Woolworths has confirmed that its WCafe is now fully cashless for customer safety and convenience.

However, this shift has raised concerns among some patrons, particularly regarding tipping.

Some customers noticed that cash tipping jars for baristas were no longer available at certain locations.

In response, Woolworths clarified to Knowler that tip box removals coincided with the cashless policy.

The company explained that customers leave tips via card payments, aligning with the decision to go cashless.

Hudson and Knowler suggest a more efficient tipping option to ensure fair compensation for the baristas.

"Baristas must be losing out."
