CAPE TOWN - At least 20 pupils from Mzamomtsha Primary School in Driftsands, Cape Town have been rushed to a clinic after complaining of stomach cramps on Wednesday morning.
The Western Cape Education Department (WCED)'s Bronagh Hammond said that 18 of the learners had since been discharged.
She said that the causes were not confirmed at this stage.
"But we do, however, ask that people do not jump to conclusions. We have received many false reports of food poisoning in the last few weeks, we therefore must wait until the health authorities conclude on their assessments."
