GEORGE - Two men linked to the murder of controversial Cape Town businessman, Mark Lifman, appeared briefly at the George Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
Johannes Hendrik Jacobs and Gert Johannes Bezuidenhout are facing charges of premeditated murder.
They appeared under heavy police guard and their case has been postponed to next week Wednesday for further investigation.
Western Cape Police Commissioner Thembisile Patekile said that one of the accused was a former member of the police's special task force.
"But he's been away from the police for some time and what we believe is that he's worked for PPA Security in Cape Town, that's what we know for now."
The accused's request to be placed in solitary confinement was denied by the court.
Patekile said they could not rule out more arrests as the investigation continues.
